Ubuntu Involvement

I have used Ubuntu since mid-2005, and it has been my primary operating system since the beginning of 2006. I have been active in the Ubuntu community since March 2006.

I am responsible for two marketing-based projects pertaining to Ubuntu, the Counter Project and the Surveys, due out soon. I am a member of the Marketing Team.

My involvement in Ubuntu has been almost exclusively community-based. I currently lead the Australian Local Community (LoCo) Team, and help manage the international LoCo effort.

In November 2006 and May 2007, I was sponsored to attend Ubuntu Developer Summits in the USA and Spain respectively, to discuss issues pertaining to Local community teams (LoCos) and other aspects of the Ubuntu community.
