Linux & Open Source

I am an active advocate of Free (Libre) and Open Source Software. There two main definitions that encompass Free (Libre) and Open Source Software, but they both have the same basic principles in terms of the ability to modify the software, and the ability to distribute the modifications.

The definitions are the Free Software Definition and the Open Source Definition

My primary involvement in this 'industry' is through Linux, an open source operating system. My linux distribution of choice is called Ubuntu. Ubuntu is a user-ready distribution based on the highly adaptable Debian distribution, which I also use.
